But irrespective of all the buzz that the iPhone has been creating every time, Samsung has been standing there as a tough competitor in front of Apple for a long time. Both the tech giants – Apple and Samsung were going to launch their flagships in August 2020. But due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the world has been at stake now and so do the Tech giants.
Samsung has shifted its manufacturing of phones from Korea to Vietnam. They haven’t instantly shifted their production to Vietnam. This was done way back from the past 2 years, and now because of finding many of their workers working in the Korean country positive of coronavirus, they finalized to shift their whole production to the other country, i.e. Vietnam. So, for now, they have well-equipped machinery for the production and manufacturing of their flagship smartphones.
Apple also has been finding ways to somehow launch its iPhone 12 series this year. They have been launching their flagship smartphones in September every year but it seems to be relatively not possible to happen this year. It may shift to the end of the year or maybe to the next year 2021. It is also possible that they can launch their flagship as scheduled in August 2020 ad people will be able to pre-order but it may take a while for getting Note20 in hands.

So, these are some really high-end specifications that both smartphones will boast. These specs are concluded with present rumors and speculations. Although major specs will remain the same, we will keep it up to date. Let’s go through a detailed comparison now.
The upcoming iPhone 12 has one of the best processors among all the smartphones in the market. The new iPhone 12 will have the A14 processor which is going to set a benchmark for the superb functioning. This chipset is going to be Apple’s first A-chips to be above 3GHz. Although it has only 6 cores rather than 8 like the A12X, it rates higher throughout all the CPU (Central Processing Unit) tests.
On the other hand, Samsung will be having Snapdragon 875 which is currently in production. The company is also working on its Exynos 992 which is a 6nm processor. As per reports, it will be 20% faster than the current processor. This will be a 5G enabled processor and support 8K video recording.
There have been several speculations for the Apple iPhone 12 display size. Most of the sites claim that the iPhone 12 will come in two or one of the sizes, i.e. 5.4-inch or 6.1-inch. It will have an OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) panel with a Super Retina XDR display. It will be featuring a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio. It will have a high 458ppi (pixel per inch) which will make your pictures and videos of super quality and less blur. The refresh rate of the iPhone 12 will be 120Hz that will make your use of the phone a smooth experience.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20: The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will have a 6.42-inch display. It will have an OLED panel built with the LTPS (Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Silicon) backplane technology, as stated by Ross Young- the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC). It will have a high display resolution of 2345×1084 with around 404 PPI and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It will also have a dynamic 120Hz refresh rate.
The RAM of Apple iPhones’ has always been a disappointment in numbers. Compared to other smartphones in the market, Apple iPhones’ have relatively lower RAM than them. In their upcoming flagship of the iPhone 12 series, they have settled at 4GB RAM for iPhone 12 and a higher 6 GB RAM for the other iPhone 12 Pro / Pro Max.
On the other side, Samsung will be having 12GB / 16GB LPDDR3 RAM as standard.
There have been rumors that Apple this year will be upgrading its storage capacity. If we trust the reported claims, the minimum storage of the iPhone will be upgraded from 64GB base storage to 128GB base storage. For iPhone 12 there will be two variants of 128GB and 256GB.
Samsung has impressed its customers by providing 256GB of storage amount in Galaxy Note 10. But according to trusted sources, it has come to know that the Galaxy Note 20 will have only 128GB.
Apple iPhone 12: From the past some time, smartphones have been updating their network- connectivity to the next- generation 5G. But in the previous launches also Apple hasn’t upgraded their network connectivity and remained at 4G, whereas their rivals have been to the 5G mark way back. But this time, it has been found from the latest sources that finally the Apple iPhone 12 series will be having a 5G network connectivity.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20: Samsung like its previous models will support a 5G network connectivity and will not disappoint its customers. There will be a possible option to turn off 5G and enable 4G LTE as it depends on your Gio presence for 5G networks at this point.
The iPhone camera quality needs no explanation as everyone knows that they have always excelled in this field. This time Apple iPhone 12 is going to have a quad camera, 64MP wide camera, 24MP telephoto camera, 12MP ultra-wide camera with a LiDAR sensor. LiDAR is an advanced technology or you can say an upgraded version of ToF, it’s able to read and react faster to the environment in front of it and helps make using AR apps a far smoother experience.
If we compare these iPhone camera specs with Samsung recently launched a triple camera setup with Galaxy S20, we might say Samsung has an upper hand in the smartphone industry. Although there are some problems with the new focus mechanism in the 108 MP sensor which Samsung will be fixing in the new Galaxy Note 20 camera module.
Apple iPhone 12: Apple iPhones’ have been targeted for their low battery life in their smartphones. With all the marvelous features, the battery life and charging speed seems to be a disappointment in their phones. In this model of iPhone 12, it is speculated that they will be providing a battery power of 3210 mAh. It is still better than some of their older flagship smartphones.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20: Samsung has never disappointed us with the battery life of its products. In this Samsung Galaxy Note 20, there will be a 4000 mAh battery that will be long-lasting.
Apple iPhone 12 will have a new navy blue color added to their list with the all-time common premium black color. It will have a sharp stainless steel frame with a new design. The use of fostered glass will be a cherry on the cake for the phone.
Samsung Note 20 will be having a large dynamic AMOLED display with curved edges and metallic construction. Samsung will also have a 120 Hz refresh rate which can be downgraded to 90Hz or 60Hz.
The price bar of Apple iPhones’ has always been on cloud nine. This time also you have to lose your pockets as the speculated prices for 128GB of storage space are $649 and for 256GB it is around $749.
Considering the marvelous features of the Galaxy Note 20, it is expected to be sold at a high price in the market. According to the leaks and news from trusted sources, it is said to be more than $999 for the base variant and may go up to $1399 for 512GB storage.
As far as we have seen both the devices are having high-end specs, at some places Samsung wins eg. camera module, snapdragon processor, and fast charging, however, Apple has its own eco-system of iOS apps that bounds their audience with them. We still have several months before the official launch. So, it will be pretty unfair to say anything about who wins this battle. Let’s wait for more leaks to come out. We will be updating this comparison with frequent updates.
